BIG BLUE - Virgin Island Powerboat and Sail Excursions and Snorkeling Trips
Big Blue

All our Captains on the Big Blue team have one mission . . . To give you the best day of your vacation!

They all are US Coast guard captains, certified with a 50 ton masters license, first aid training, STCW as well as training in diving, watersports, fishing . . . to name a few.

Our captains love their jobs, are knowledgable about the area and sea life and are good at what they do! We are excited about our season's line up of fantastic captains! A perfect match to carry on the spirit of fun, professionalism and relaxation we always strive for.

Captain Mindy is that rare combination of someone who loves what they are doing and does it well. She arrived in the Virgin Islands (by sailboat) over 10 years ago and had been captaining various charter boats for the last 8. It was inevitable that she would one day own her own charter company and is thrilled that the day has finally arrived. Mindy's love of the area mixed with her deep appreciation and respect for the ocean and the sea life it contains is very  apparent upon spending the day with her as she guides you through the beauty of the Virgin Islands both above and below the surface.

Prior to captaining, Mindy was in the entertainment biz. She was a Radio City Music Hall Rockette and has also worked with the likes of Robert Redford and David Copperfield to name a few. She happily shares these stories and more with her charter guests.

Captain Cody

Born and raised in Snowmass, Colorado, Cody's home may be in the mountains, but his heart lies in the ocean.

He got his Open Water SCUBA certification at age 13, and became a PADI SCUBA Instructor in 2011. His love for the ocean has pushed him to explore the underwater realm, from Florida and the Bahamas to the Hawaiian Islands, Indonesia, Thailand, Roatan and the Virgin Islands.

In 2014, Cody got his merchant mariner’s credential, and although still an active SCUBA Instructor, he now spends most of his time exploring the pristine waters and idyllic vistas in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
